The original Wingy introduced the concave face design that most skewbs now copy. The Wingy Skewb V2 keeps that and adds an adjustment system no other skewb had.
Magnet strength adjusts across five positions by hand, with no tool needed. Spring compression has five settings and tension another five, which comes to 125 combinations. The concave faces give the fingers something to hold. It weighs 67g, where the V1 was 115g, and an adjustment tool is included for the tension and compression.
Adjustable magnets matter on a skewb more than the specification suggests. The turns are large and there are a great many of them in a solve, so the magnetic strength that feels precise to one solver feels sluggish to another. Until the Wingy Skewb V2 you took whatever the factory chose.
The weight change is the other half of it. Dropping from 115g to 67g turns the Wingy from a solid, deliberate puzzle into a quick one.
