Four-by-four is where budget cubes normally disappoint, because the inner layers catch and the puzzle punishes you for turning quickly. The QiYi M Pro 4×4 does not do that.
The factory magnets are deliberately light, so the cube stays stable without fighting you. The turning is smooth and fast, corner cutting is good, and the mechanism resists catching on the inner layers.
Light magnets are a considered choice on a 4×4. Strong ones help a 3×3 settle, but across four layers they add resistance in the middle of the puzzle, where you least want it. Pitching them low keeps the slice turns free.
