A mirror cube is a 3×3 underneath. The pieces are cut to different heights, so the puzzle changes shape as you scramble it and you solve by restoring the block instead of matching colours. If you can solve a 3×3, you can solve this.
Forty-eight magnets in the pieces are what make the GAN Mirror M UV turn like a speedcube. A screw and spring tension system means it can be adjusted rather than accepted as it comes. Reinforced edge and corner feet resist popping, which is a common failing on mirror cubes. The corner and edge pieces are shaped to hold lubricant, under a stickerless UV coating.
The magnets do more on the GAN Mirror M UV than they do on a standard 3×3. Because the pieces are different sizes, a mirror cube gives you no colour cue that a layer is slightly off, so the magnets do the work your eyes normally would.
Available in fuchsia or purple. The difference is cosmetic.
Cubes dry out with use and start to feel scratchy. A few drops of GAN No.1 Lube Maintenance 10ml keeps the turning smooth and slows the wear.
