The QiYi M Pro 3×3 is one of the strongest cubes in the budget bracket, and the adjustment system alone puts it ahead of most of what it competes against.
A dual-adjustment system gives eleven settings, changed by hand with no tool. Factory magnets hold the cube stable through a fast turn. Frosted exterior, 55.5mm, with a crisp, slightly clacky feel and snappy corner cutting.
Tool-free adjustment sounds like a convenience, but on the QiYi M Pro 3×3 it is really the point. A beginner will not go hunting for a screwdriver, so a cube that adjusts by hand is a cube that actually gets adjusted, and it can follow them as they get quicker.
The MoYu RS3M V5 (Magnetic, Dual-Adjustment) sits at a similar price with nine settings and a longer track record. This one has eleven and needs no tool.
Cubes dry out with use and start to feel scratchy. A few drops of GAN No.1 Lube Maintenance 10ml keeps the turning smooth and slows the wear.
