The M in Meilong 2M stands for magnetic, and at this price that is unusual. Most 2x2s this cheap have no magnets at all.
The magnets are laid out for control and stability instead of raw speed, so the layers hold their line instead of drifting. The exterior is frosted and stickerless, which resists scratching and grips better than gloss. ABS plastic. A display stand and a screwdriver are supplied.
The Meilong 2M is the cheapest way to find out whether someone takes to cubing, since a 2×2 is the shortest solve there is to learn. Magnets make that first experience a good deal better, since an unmagnetised 2×2 will not hold its alignment and a beginner cannot yet correct for it.
For more adjustment than this offers, look at the QiYi M Pro 2×2 and the GAN251M Air.
