This is the same cube as the frosted GAN11 M Pro with a harder-wearing surface. Both run primary internal plastic and the same mechanism. All that differs is the exterior finish.

Corner-to-core magnets on removable stems. Three magnet strength settings. Four tension settings and six spring compression settings, adjusted independently, which comes to 72 combinations. The honeycomb piece texture makes the turning smoother and keeps lubricant where it was put. High-gloss UV exterior over primary internal plastic, 63g.

The corner-to-core magnets are the reason the GAN11 M Pro turns the way it does. Each corner is pulled towards the middle of the cube as a layer closes, so a turn taken most of the way round is squared up for you.

On the adjustments, tension sets how tightly the pieces are held to the core and compression sets how hard the spring pushes back. Between them they take the cube from soft and forgiving to tight and fast.

The UV surface is the reason to choose this one. It grips better in warm hands and keeps its finish through months of daily solving, where a frosted cube gradually polishes smooth at the contact points.

The removable stems mean the GAN11 M Pro converts back to a conventional magnetic 3×3 if the corner-to-core feel does not suit you. At 63g it is lighter than most flagships, which takes a few sessions to get used to.

Cubes dry out with use and start to feel scratchy. A few drops of GAN No.1 Lube Maintenance 10ml keeps the turning smooth and slows the wear.
