MoYu Lube No.2 is their speed lube. Water based and low in viscosity, it cuts resistance between the contact surfaces and lets the cube turn faster than it did out of the box.
MoYu Lube No.2 also helps durability, because less friction means less wear on the plastic. A few drops in the mechanism is enough and the effect is immediate.
The usual approach is to combine the two. MoYu Lube No.1 5ml on the core for a smooth, controlled feel, and No.2 on the pieces for speed. Both suit any brand of cube.
